Reinforcements (mesh) for abrasive discs

Home   >   Reinforcements (mesh) for abrasive discs

Fiberglass mesh impregnated with phenolic resin has been used since the 1970s in the manufacture of abrasive discs and remains today as one of the main applications of fiberglass composites in Brazil. These meshes are used to reinforce cutting and grinding abrasive discs, due to the high mechanical and thermal resistance of the compound.

Supplied in mesh/disks of different diameters, from 34mm to 660mm, these Fiberglass meshes are found with different mesh openings and weights, from 40g/m² to 660g/m²,

impregnated with phenolic resins and cut in diameters according to the customer’s request, or even supplied in 100m linear rolls (see widths).

See below the articles of our most common mesh (articles and weights):

• GI-48 (53g/m²)
• GI-87 (76g/m²)
• GI-150 (140g/m²)
• A-22 (154g/m²)
• GI-190 (194g/m²)
• GI-257 (230g/m²)
• A-32 (285g/m²)
• GI 414 (414g/m²)
• A-660 (660g/m²)
