Short Fibers

The short fibers (fiberglass and carbon fiber) provide a very important mechanical resistance characteristic in their applications (isotropy) and ensure a better finish of the final product. In addition to being used in thermosetting and thermoplastic composites, alkali-resistant (AR) short fiberglass is used as concrete reinforcement in construction, mainly in the manufacture of glass reinforced concrete (GRC).

Most common measurements:

Short carbon fiber for thermoset composites: 3mm / 10mm / 16mm / 20mm

Alkali resistant fiberglass for concrete: 6mm / 12mm

Applications:

Composites in general, injection with thermoplastics, cement plates, etc.
